Cherry blossoms in bloom

These early bloomers burst into color around the first week of February and last for about a month. If only they would stay longer.

Hi and welcome to the Daily Photo family! I lived in the Berkeley area for 13 years before I moved to San Diego. I'm very much looking forward to seeing your photos!

Oh, thank you! I left Berkeley for Minneapolis 18 years ago, and every February I remember that the plum trees must be blooming in Berkeley.

My pleasure! :)

Hi Allison,
Every February I would wait for those first bursts of plum blossoms. They are like pink popcorn popping out on all the branches, and have a spicy fragrance as one walks down the street. Your gorgeous photo is of an ornamental plum tree, rather than cherry.

That's too funny that you and Felicia have switched cities!
