Bay Area Rapid Transit, or BART, is our subway. It's got its charms, and its annoyances, just like everything everywhere. Here's the Downtown Berkeley station.
I had a more Valentine's-appropriate pic -- a glass gate cutout in the shape of a heart -- but I had a hard drive failure and am having trouble accessing my files, so that'll be for another day.

Sorry about your hard drive troubles. . .hope things are up soon. The Central Berkeley BART station exit/entrance with that curve in the brick work at ground level instead of an angle. . .that round theme going on. . .central, yeah.

Hey, thanks. It's not too bad (annoying, though) -- everything's backed up on the external hard drive. Highly recommended. Much better than when I was working on my thesis last year and it died three weeks before the thing was due! $300-something to back up, restore, and wave the magic wand.
